Welcome to Reception! Our Reception classes are Murphy Class with Mrs Marshall and Mrs Wathen and Donaldson Class with Miss Moss.
This term in Reception our topic is "People who help us". The focus will be on exploring different roles, e.g. police officers, doctors, vets, teachers etc and giving the children opportunity to talk about people who help them personally.
As the weather warms up we will be taking lots of our learning outside, including outdoor treasure hunting, music making and junk modelling emergency vehicles. We will also be having some interesting visitors in class who will inspire us to think about what we want to be when we are older. We will also be exploring a range of exciting texts including -

We will be exploring lots of writing opportunities based around these texts and experiencing some exciting activities to bring these texts to life!

Please send your child a pair of wellington boots to wear during our Forest School sessions. Now we are in Summer, please send your child to school with a water bottle & sunhat. Please also apply sun cream on sunny days.
