Welcome to Year 4!

Your year 4 teachers this year are:

Our PE days are Thursday and Friday. Please make sure children have appropriate footwear so they can remain safe during their PE lesson.

Reading books: Children are expected to read at home at least 3 times per week. Rewards will be given for children who consistently achieve this. Reading must be recorded in their reading record- otherwise it doesn’t count!

In Maths we will be learning place value, addition and subtraction and area. We will also be revising our times tables from Year 3.

In writing we will be focussing on the following texts:

In reading we will be continuing to practise the skills that help us to become successful, fluent independent readers.

In Science we will be learning about animals including humans. The focus will be mainly on the digestive system.
